Transform Health was founded in 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic revealed both the potential of digital technology and the inequalities that can limit its impact. Our founding partners recognised that better technology alone would not lead to better health. The rules, decisions, and governance behind digital systems would determine whether they improve health outcomes for everyone or deepen existing divides.
Transform Health is a global coalition working to ensure that digital technologies, data, and AI strengthen health systems while advancing equity, rights and accountability. With partners around the world, we help shape legislation, regulation, and policies; press for more and better use of resources; and promote approaches that put people at the centre of the digital transformation of health.
To ensure universal health coverage is achieved by 2030 by harnessing digital technology and the use of data.
To bring together diverse partners, particularly young people, women and marginalised communities, to advocate, campaign, influence, and provide technical support to strengthen policy, legislation, regulation and financial conditions for the digital transformation of health systems.
National legislation, regulation, policies, strategies for digital health transformation adopted, resourced and implemented.
Equity and rights-based national health data governance and AI frameworks adopted and implemented through legislation and regulations.
More, better aligned, coordinated, sustainable and accountable digital health investment (from governments, donors, private sector) to support national digital health implementation.
Inclusive and meaningful engagement of civil society (particularly youth, women and marginalised communities) in the digital transformation of health, including governance and processes.
Five values shape how we work, who we work with, and what we will not compromise on. Click on the icons to learn more.
